Mezzo-soprano Dara Savinova<\/i><\/b> was born in Estonia, Tallinn. She completed her bachelor\u2019s degree in singing and a master’s degree in music theatre at <\/span>Salzburg’s Mozarteum University<\/i><\/strong>. <\/strong>A former member of the International Opera Studio at Opernhaus Z\u00fcrich and of the Salzburger Festspiele’s Young Artist Project, Estonian mezzo-soprano Dara Savinova has rapidly raised her international profile in recent seasons. Her recent successes include her role debut as Angelina (La Cenerentola) at Royal Swedish Opera, Ozias (Juditha Triumphans) at the Th\u00e9\u00e2tre du Champs-Elys\u00e9es and Eudossa (Irene) at the Theater an der Wien, both in concert. She intrigues audiences in the title role of Carmen, one of her signature roles since Jean-Christophe Spinosi invited her for her debut on a tour in France, Spain and Russia. In April 2021, she won the first prize and the Helikon-opera prize at the Jos\u00e9 Carreras Grand Prix in Moscow.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The 2020\/21 season includes Dara\u2019s debut as Pierotto in Linda di Chamounix and the title role of Carmen in Tartu, the roles of Ino and Juno in Semele at the Beaune Baroque Opera Festival with Leonardo Garc\u00eda Alarc\u00f3n, and further ahead Cherubino in Le Nozze di Figaro at the Stadttheater Klagenfurt, among other debuts to be announced.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Past highlights were her Eustazio in Rinaldo and Dorabella in Cos\u00ec fan tutte at the Festival della valle d’Itria under the baton of Fabio Luisi, Goffredo in Rinaldo in Moscow and Vienna with Jean Christophe Spinosi\u2019s Ensemble Matheus, Amenofi in Mos\u00e8 in Egitto at the Bregenzer Festspiele, Zweiter Dame in Die Zauberfl\u00f6te at the Theater Basel and her role debut as l\u2019Enfant in Ravel’s L’enfant et les sortil\u00e8ges.at Opernhaus Z\u00fcrich under Fabio Luisi. She portrayed Rosina in Il barbiere di Siviglia at the Bashmet Festival in Sochi.A part-time member of the ensemble of Theater Detmold through the 2018\/19 season, she sang roles such as Dorabella in Cosi fan tutte, Nancy in Flotow’s Martha, H\u00e4nsel in H\u00e4nsel und Gretel and Siebel in Gounod’s Faust.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
